Note: This is not a product order page, but instead, is offered for informational purposes ... Continued ... There are two different forms of Diabetes: Type I, Type II Type I: Juvenile Diabetes Diabetes is caused by the destruction of the Insulin producing cells in the Pancreas. This Insulin deficiency requires lifelong administration of insulin several times a day in specific doses for proper glucose utilization. The dose of Insulin used by each diabetic is determined by the results of blood-sugar readings on glucometer, three times a day. Diabetics are at risk of becoming disabled or dying from cardiovascular disease. Both Insulin (I) and non Insulin dependent (II) diabetics have significantly lower levels of antioxidants protection. Both types of diabetics require high doses of antioxidants and other nutrients that have been shown to be especially beneficial in protecting diabetics against cardiovascular disease. Examples are chromium, that may reduce the amount of injected Insulin required, magnesium, potassium, B Complex, zinc, boran, vanadium, choline, cobalt, L-carnitine, and lecithin. Studies have shown that proper amounts of B6 can help to prevent diabetic retinopathy. B6 is also helpful in the prevention of atherosclerosis. Diabetic neuropathy can cause severe pain throughout the body. It has been shown L-Carnitine has been effective for diabetic neuropathies. Glycosylation is caused by the result of uncontrolled glucose that binds with protein in the blood to form nonfunctioning structure in the body. Diabetics suffer from accelerated glycosylation that causes many of the health problems associated with juvenile diabetes. High levels of Vitamin C and chromium may inhibit Glycosylation. Sugar Balance from Parsi Herbs brings you concentrated forms of nutrients such as spinach powder, parsley, cabbage, dillweed, chia seeds, and Borage that not only provides you with high amounts of Vitamin C but other nutrients that assist in diabetic health and balance. Fenugreek Contains: Recent studies have shown that Fenugreek reduces blood sugar in diabetics and also high levels of cholesterol and triglyceride levels. Clinical studies on Fenugreek supports traditional uses for digestion, anti-inflammatory, as well as beneficial for the liver. Chia seeds Contains: A good source of B vitamins, calcium, phosphorus, potassium, zinc, boron, and copper. Chia seeds have demonstrated a strong antioxidizing capacity. In addition to the obvious benefits for Diabetics, this slowing in the conversion of carbohydrates into sugar offers the ability for creating endurance. Chia seeds are definitive hydrophilic colloid to keep gastric mucosas in the proper condition. Chia seed, a muscle and tissue builder and an energizer of endurance with extensive hydration properties, also is a source of protein. Another unique quality of the chia seed is its high oil content, the richest vegetable source for the essential omega - 3 fatty acid. These oils, unsaturated fatty acids, are essential oils your body needs to help emulsify and absorb the fat soluble vitamins - A, D, E, and K. Chia seeds are essential for normal glandular activity, especially of the adrenal glands and the thyroid gland. The unsaturated fatty acids function in the body by cooperating with Vitamin D in making calcium available to the tissues, assisting in the assimilation of Phosphorus, and stimulating the conversion of Carotene into Vitamin A. The Chia seed is also a rich source of calcium as it contains the mineral Boron, which acts as a catalyst for the absorption and utilization of calcium by the body. Buckwheat is also high in minerals that help diabetic neuropathy such as Flavonoid Rutin, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, iron, zinc, copper, manganese, Niacin B3, Pantothenic Acid, Folaein,Vitamin P, Flavonoid and D-chiro-Inositol. Buckwheat is rich in Fagopynitol. The mineral Rutin strengthens blood vessels. Ubiguinol, as known to chemists, and commonly called Co-enzyme Q-10, is an essential nutrient found in every cell of our body. It is an essential catalyst of energy production metabolism in mitochondria. As a conversant antioxidant, this nutrient can readily absorb (and release) electrons from chemically active and potentially harmful free radical compounds (free radicals) generated from the metabolic reactions, thereby scavenging the cellular environment. Co-enzyme Q-10, a vitamin like nutrient essential, required in small quantity, catalyzes metabolism. Dr. Karl Folkers, who was one of the pioneering Co-enzyme Q-10 scientists and also involved in naming co-enzyme Q-10 regretted not calling it a vitamin. Numerous scientific researches and human clinical trials have been performed on Co-enzyme Q-10. In 1978, a British scientist, Dr. Peter Mitchell, was awarded the Nobel Prize in chemistry for his studies in the role of Co-enzyme Q-10 in cellular energy production. Q-10 is especially helpful for enhancing the immune system, and is a concentrated antioxidant. Recent Cabbage research has discovered Tartromic Acid in this vegetable, which inhibits the conversion of sugar and other carbohydrates into fat. Cabbage assists several elements and factors which enhance immunity of the human body and arrest aging. Spinach -- The vitamin K, provided by spinach, is important for maintaining bone health. Vitamin K activates osteocalcin, the major non-collagen protein in bone. Osteocalcin anchors calcium molecules inside of the bone. For atherosclerosis and diabetic heart disease, few foods compare to spinach in their number of helpful nutrients. Spinach is and excellent source of Vitamin C, Vitamin A, and Beta-Carotene. These two nutrients are important antioxidants that work to reduce the amount of free radicals in the body. Vitamin C works as a water-soluble antioxidant and beta-carotene as a fat-soluble one. This water-and-fat-soluble antioxidant team helps to prevent cholesterol from becoming oxidized. Oxidized cholesterol is able to stick to and build up in blood vessel walls, where it can cause blocked arteries, heart attack or stroke. Spinach is and excellent source of folate. Folate is needed by the body to help convert a potentially dangerous chemical called homocysteine that can lead to heart attack or stroke if levels get too high in other benign molecules. Spinach is also a very good source of magnesium, a mineral that can help to lower high blood pressure and protect you against heart disease. Stevia rebandiana Scientific research exhibits that Stevia can help control hyperglycemia, improve glucose tolerance, decrease plasma glucose levels, and reduce glucose production in the kidneys. The glycosides present in Stevia gives the sweet flavor to this plant. Among the many glycosides found in this plant, steviasides and rebandiosides are mainly responsible for this unique characteristic. Lecithin is a major source of choline. Choline is a lipotropic substance which aids in the digestion of fats. It is believed that choline helps the body burn fat. It lowers blood cholesterol. As it supports fat metabolism and also aids in bringing down high blood cholesterol levels, lecithin can be considered a food supplement that protects your body against heart attack and stroke. Choline is also a part of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine. A sufficient intake of choline, primarily by consumption of lecithin, is believed to have an effect on function, especially those connected to memory. Borage Flowers are very rich in Gamma Linolenic Acid (GLA), a "good" fat. The leaves of Borage clean the blood and comfort the heart. Research has shown Borage has been effective in treatment of diabetic neuropathy. Sugar Balance is brought to you by Parsi Herbs, the makers of only traditional Persian formulas, with scientific modern research to help prevent maturing of your conditions. Our belief system can bring us positive and beneficial changes, guide to a path of health and happiness. May our Creator save us with the gift of wisdom, love and knowledge. Our goal is to bring you the best of Persian medicine and modern science for better physical, emotional and spiritual health. Vibrational, nutritional and synergistic balance is kept 100% in mind as we are formulating. We provide you with Formulas that are easily utilized by everyones' body. Our herbs are purchased organically grown as much as possible. As systems of farming have changed all throughout most of the world, especially in the U.S. (according to the Dept. of Agriculture as reported in 2002), the soil depletion of nutrients is a big factor. Our bodies are becoming less healthy, since the foods we are consuming have less and less nutritional values each year. Air pollutants, water pollutants, oxidative stress, and stress ... We have to better care for ourselves to value the gift of life. We need to detoxify from: Environmental Emotional Spiritual Toxins - that cause us premature aging and painful living. Quality of life, but not so much the quantity. Asthma may be a response to inhaled allergens, infectious agents, irritants (such as dust, chemical fumes or cold air), over consumption of dairy and animal products or may come from emotional stress. Symptoms may appear as wheezing, breathlessness, coughing. Studies document that asthmatics who take high potency vitamin supplements have a significant reduction in the incidence and severity of asthmatic attacks. Depression is now acknowledged to be an epidemic disease. Sufferers of depression lack general interest in things that would normally bring them satisfaction and often feel an overall sense of worthlessness. Other tell-tale symptoms: anxiety, loss of sex drive, thoughts of hopelessness, poor appetite, lack of confidence and sleep disturbance. There are many other forms of mental illness, the community knowledge of the severity and general impact of this condition needs to improve. Sufferers and their loved ones need to be more aware of the signs to look for. Addiction There are many different forms of addiction. Addiction to gambling, the internet, caffeine, cocaine, heroin, morphine, alcohol, nicotine, food, sugar, tobacco, Vicodin, sex, and prescription drugs. Addiction is a two-part problem. There is an obsession, (desire to use, drink, act out), which is a mental and emotional phenomena (restlessness, discontent, irritability) and there is a physical/emotional craving that occurs afterwards (one drink is too many, 2000 drinks are not enough). The emotional and spiritual aspect of this disease goes back to childhood or early development of every Being. What we are exposed to and hear inside our mothers womb and after birth could create problems that lead into addiction. Immune Deficiencies are caused by many different factors. One of the most common of all are parasites, fungus, viral infection... Poor nutrician over the long term, use of substances and many others. Through major nutricianal, physical, emotional and spiritual acceleration practices we can change our lives to the better direction. Ibnn Sinna treated all these challenges with wholeistic approaches that we have followed for over a decade. Celery seeds are a blood purifier, used for detoxifying lymphangitis, poor appetite, fevers, gout, syphilis, tumors, cinchonism, and elimination of other irritating drugs. Bai Dou Kou has been used as nerve tonic, antispasmodic, aphrodisiac, and was used in Persian medicine by Ibnn Sinna as a digestive tonic, for urinary problems and antiseptic and diuretic. Valerian Contains... This herb is used as a sedative for heart disorders, convulsions, depression bringing headaches, insomnia and anxiety. Arctium Contains... This root is one of the best blood purifiers amongst all herbs. You might say it is the king of the blood purifiers. It is used for many conditions from acne to bladder and kidney infections, psoriasis, eczema, and sore throats. Very recently it has become popular as part of treatment of cancer (it boosts the immune system). Arctium was used in Persian medicine by Ibnn Sinna to decongest the liver and purify the blood. It is an important ingredient as a bowel and lymphatic cleanser. Burdock Root contains high amounts of Inulin and mucilage. This explains its soothing effects on the gastrointestinal tract. Lavender has been used for a variety of conditions of the nervous system, including depression and fatigue. it has also been used for headache and rheumatism. It is very helpful in treatment of insomnia. It is useful for circulatory disorders, migraines, toothaches, nausea and vomiting. Shitaki Mushroom Contains... This adaptogen has been used to boost weak immunity against candidis, cancer, viral infections, chemotherapy damage, metal toxicity, addiction detoxification and even chronic cold and flues. The Shitaki mushroom assists in increasing the number of T cells as much as 200 percent (AHCC is the active component. Active Hexose Correlated Compound). The Shitaki mushroom helps Hepatic symptoms and is called the "medical super food" that strengthens immune system function. Vitamin E Ibnn Sinna often prescribed apricot kernels, sesame seeds and raw pistachios to consume in therapeutic doses for cancer, memory loss and infertility. These seeds and nuts are all very high in vitamin E. Boswellia Serata Traditional Persian medicine has used this tree gum for raising ones spirit (reduction of depression), reduction and relief of inflammation in the joints and as an antibacterial. Ibnn Sinna used this valuable gum in clearing and sterilizing air (environment), while treating patients. It is also used as a digestive tonic soaked in water. Boswellia also was used to reduce tumors such as fibroids. Boswellic Acid is used to improve blood supply to joints and maintain the integrity of blood vessels. B-5 (Pantothenic-Acid) helps to fight allergies and is beneficial in the maintenance and health of muscles and nerves. Deficiency of Vitamin B-5 causes fatigue, headaches, nausea, tingling in the hands, depression, personality changes and cardiac instability, sleep disturbances, neurological disorders including numbness, Paresthesia (abnormal sensation such as "burning feet" syndrome), muscle weakness and cramps. Vitamin E ... This is a very powerful antioxidant, protects your cells from oxidation. It helps to prevent degenerative disease, including heart disease, strokes, arthritis, senility, diabetes and cancers and is essential for red blood cells, protects the body from pollution, especially the lungs. Vitamin E is also useful in preventing blood clots from forming and promotes fertility, reduces and/or prevents hot flashes in menopause. Increases stamina and endurance. Deficiency of Vitamin E symptoms are inflamed varicose veins, slow wound healing, premature aging, acne, anemia, muscle disease, dementia, cancers, gallstones, shortened red blood cell life span, and uterine degeneration. B-3 (Niacinamide) Contains... Non flush Niacin, ensures healthy joint function. B-6 (Pyridoxine) Significant research has shown that B-6 is beneficial for maintaining nerve health, hormonal balance in premenstrual women, and enhances kidney activity. There is also evidence showing that B-6 supports healthy lung function. B-12 (Cyanocobalamin) Contains... Folic acid, vitamin B-6, and vitamin B-12 are critical for a healthy cardiovascular system. Deficiency of any of these vitamins has long been known to cause a type of anemia in which the red blood cells become enlarged. Vitamin B-12 deficiency is also related to nerve and mental problems. Difficulties in thinking, poor memory, low energy, low stomach acid and permanent nerve damage are other symptoms of B-12 deficiency. B-5 (Pantothenic-Acid) or Vitamin P :Contains... This vitamin plays an important role in your fiber and protein digestion. B-5 also plays a significant role in the secretion of hormones, such as cortisene because of the role it plays in supporting the Adrenal Gland. Myrrh Contains... an aromatic gum resin. The medicinal uses of this powerful blessing go back to Queen Esther of Persia. Ibnn Sinna used myrrh to treat depression and wound healing, bronchitis and treatment of cancer. Modern medical uses include: bronchitis, diarrhea, dysentery, thrush, ulcers, viral hepatitis, asthma, candida, fungal infection, hemorrhoids, support of the immune system, skin inflammation. Vitamin Bs play an important role -- B1 (Thiamin) and Riboflavin (B2) are essential and critical for normal energy production in human cells. B1 is also linked to a healthy nervous system, mental energy. B1 (Thiamin) deficiency, known as beriberi, has wide-ranging symptoms including weakness, confusion, heart damage, and loss of balance. B1 deficiency has been shown to lead to disturbances in the nervous and musculoskeletal system. B-2 (Riboflavin) is necessary for metabolism of fats, carbohydrates and several of the other B Vitamins. Higher doses can help protect normal blood flow to the brain (RDA is 1.7 mg per day). Acety-L-Carnitine has been reported to safely alleviate depression. L-carnitine has cognitive-enhancing and anti aging effects. The effect of this Amino Acid as an anti aging agent of human cells is tremendous. Alpha-Lipoic Acid ... This powerful antioxidant is being used as a preventative and/or treatment for many age-related diseases, from heart disease, stroke, lung and nerve damage. We successfully have treated many people with drug and alcohol related, asthma and depression with Alpha-Lipoic Acid. Lecithin is a component of a number of foods, and is widely attributed with certain positive effects on one's health. Many positive effects of Lecithin consumption are based on the fact that Lecithin is a major source of choline. Choline functions in the body's metabolism as an agent that aids digestion of fats. It is that choline increases fat metabolism and lowers blood cholesterol. As is commonly known, a wide range of health problems are connected to blood cholesterol levels deemed too high. High blood cholesterol leads to a congestion of bleed vessels, an important factor in heart attacks and strokes. Choline also is a part of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine. A sufficient intake of choline, primarily via the consumption of Lecithin is believed to have a positive effect on some mental functions, especially those connected to memory. Lecithin is a precursor to choline but also a component in sperm. It has a longstanding reputation to support sexual functions. Ibnn Sinna frequently treated patients with mental absence or infertility problems with a mixture of eggyolk (Lecithin) and curcumin. Rose Petals have been used in Persian medicine specifically for coughs, wounds, excessive sweating. They have astringent and antibiotic properties. Rose petals are often used for their high vitamin C content to prevent or treat cold, further, the buds are a mild laxative. Ancient Persians used rose petals for detoxification from alcohol and other stimulants. It has also a noticeable effect on depression and hopelessness. California Poppy traditionally it has been used to calm nerves, aid insomnia, reduce anxiety, and relieve pain. New scientific research has given a lot of notice to its positive effects on attention deficit disorder. Ibnn Sinna used poppy seed as a poultice to relieve pain and as tea for insomnia. Black Pepper ... One of the oldest medicinal plants having been used in the East for over 4000 years. Ibnn Sinna used Black Pepper in many different ways. One of the most important ways was as digestive aids to increase appetite and conditioner of the digestive system, and also as a good detoxifier in removing phlegm from the body. Generally good for aches and pains. It was also used to enhance sexual fire. Ginkgo Biloba ... There are three important effects of this leaf on the human body: it improves blood flow (including microcirculation in the small capillaries) to most tissues and organs, it protects against oxidative cell damage from free radicals, and blocks many of the effect of PAF (Platelet Aggregation Factor, "blood clotting) that have been related to the development of a number of cardiovascular, renal, respiratory and CNS (Central Nervous System) disorders. World Health Organization says: Ginkgo Biloba can be of help for the treatment of many human ailments, especially for middle-aged and older people. This powerful antioxidant has been used in the U.S. for memory and mental clarity improvement. Ibnn Sinna used the sweet-like large pine nuts fruit of the Ginkgo tree that taste a cross between potatoes and sweet chestnuts. Use in soups as medicine. The fruit of the Ginkgo is very rich in Niacin and a good source of complex carbs and protein. We have used Ginkgo in our practice for treatment of asthma, varicose veins, infertility, skin disorders, mental disorder... Today, people are well aware of the cardiovascular dangers of high-fat diets, especially diets rich in saturated fats. Many people understand that obesity predisposes them to atherosclerosis, diabetes, hypertension, and possibly cancer among other conditions. "Quick Fix" diets rarely, if ever, provide lasting benefits. Elevated LDL cholesterol is associated with greater than normal risk of atherosclerosis and cardiovascular disease. The objective is to lower total cholesterol to 200 mg/del or dem, and to lower dangerous LDL cholesterol to under 120 mg/del. The best way of lowering cholesterol is through dietary modification. However, for some people, no matter how little fat and cholesterol they consume, their livers produce too much cholesterol. Fibrinogen and Cardiovascular Disease ... Blood clots that form inside arteries are the leading cause of death in the Western world. Most heart attacks and strokes are caused by bloodclot that obstructs the flow of blood to a portion of the heart or the brain. No blood flow, or oxygen means no life to heart or brain cells. Blood clots kill more than 600,000 Americans every year. Studies have documented, low-dose aspirin and certain nutrients provide partial protection against abnormal blood clots, but a newly identified clotting factor - Fibrinogen, mandates that additional measures be taken to prevent heart attack and stroke. High levels of Fibrinogen predispose a person to coronary and cerebral artery disease even when other risk factors such as cholesterol are low. Cigarette smokers, for example, are at high risk of heart disease and stroke, because fibrinogen elevation in smokers is high. The role of Fibrinogen in the development of cardiovascular disease has been fully confirmed by the results of all relevant studies conducted during the past 10 years. High fibrinogen levels have at least as great a predictive value as any other known risk factor such as elevated LDL cholesterol, elevated triglycerides, obesity and diabetes. Most heart attacks occur because a blood clot forms inside a coronary artery and chokes off the blood supply to the heart. Most strokes, on the other hand, occur because a blood clot forms inside a cerebral artery and blocks the blood supply to the brain. It is crucial to take measures to reduce the Fibrinogen causing an abnormal arterial clot. Studies have shown high levels of Vitamin C, citrin, fish oils, fat enzymes, Super Food, B3, Chromium, Taurin, and Tyrosine have a tremendous effect on lowering cholesterol and clotting in the human body. Our goal is also to prevent Lipogenesis, the formation of new fat. Dietary modification, moderate exercise, breath meditation, and high intake of daily water are important for reducing cholesterol, blood clots, and body fat. These steps, coupled with daily supplementation of Cholesterol Away, go a long way in achieving a healthier, happier you. Long, healthier life is our goal. Citrin, a fruit native to India and parts of Persia (Iran) has been used in Persian medicine for centuries, for fat reduction. A sister to citrin is the Tamarind fruit. In 1991, citrin was introduced to the natural food industry as the first all natural plant extract standardized for. Hydroxycitric Acid... HCA is a potent and competitive inhibitor of Citrate Lypease, an enzyme found primarily in the liver which is vital in regulating fat metabolism. Fatty acids are the building blocks of fats and lipids at the cellular level, HCA molecules "trick" the Citrate Lypease enzyme. The receptor sites of Citrate Lypease enzymes are filled with (-) HCA. This means fewer fatty acids are synthesized, making less fat available for cellular storage. This results in increased amounts of energy at the cellular level available to more rapidly degrade free fatty acids. Benefits of (-) HCA 1. It inhibits the synthesis of fatty acids in the liver 2. It promotes an increased availability of glycogen in the liver, and sending a "full" signal to the brain sooner. Taurine Contains... a non-essential sulfur-containing amino acid that functions with glycine and gamma-aminobutynic acid as a neuroinhibitory transmitter. Taurine is not incorporated into proteins and enzymes, it does play an important role in bile acid metabolism. Taurine is incorporated into one of the most abundant bile acids, chenodeoxycholic acid where it serves to emulsify dietary lipids in the intestine, promoting digestion. Tyrosine The function of this Amino Acid is helpful in reducing body fat, suppressing appetite, production of skin and hair pigment, proper functioning of the Thyroid, as well as the Pituitary and Adrenal glands. Frequently, people with high blood cholesterol levels experience headaches, depression, anxiety, fatigue, and allergies. Tyrosine has been found effective in treatment of all these symptoms. Chromium Polynicotinate Chromium has functions other than the role it plays in GTF (Glucose Tolerance Factor). It is a vital ingredient in Lecithin which helps the body keep fat in small particles. When fat globules get too large, they get stuck on the walls of arteries and can cause atherosclerosis. Your body requires Chromium when producing protein. If it can't produce the amount it needs, you can suffer from premature aging. Chromium activates Vitamin C, and is the force needed to reap the full benefits from it. Vitamin C helps high blood pressure, hypertension, heart and cardio-vascular problems by improving adrenal function. The National Institute of Health (the primary government research agency) has indicated that Vitamin C in proper amounts can be highly effective in prevention and treatment of atherosclerosis. Fish Oil Contains... Fish and fish oils help protect against the development of atherosclerosis and heart disease. It is believed that Fish Oils exert their protective effect by lowering blood pressure and the levels of Triglycerides and Very Low Density Lipoprotein (VLDL). Fish oils are also believed to reduce platelet aggregation and to suppress the growth of smooth muscle cells in the arterial walls. Researchers at the University of Washington now report that the risk of cardiac arrest can be significantly lowered by increased intake of fish oils which will increase the levels of EPA (eicosapantaenioc acid) and dicosahexaenoic acid (DHA). Their study shows 334 patients who had suffered cardiac arrest, who were given fish oils, never experienced another attack as long as they took fish oils, and did not smoke. Lypease-8 aids in proper digestion of fats. This formulation contains the highest amount of Lipease found in any formulation by proper doses. Lipease-8 assists in fat digestion and metabolism as well as the health of the cardiovascular system. Spirulina contains concentrations of nutrients unlike any other single grain or plant. It contains Gamma-linolenic acid (GLA), linolenic, and arachidonic acid, high amounts of B12 for healthy red blood cells, high iron content, 60-70 percent protein content, the essential amino acids, RNA and DNA nucleic acids and chlorophyll. Spirulina is a natural digestible food that aids in protecting the immune system, in cholesterol reduction, and in mineral absorption. Spirulina is beneficial in cleansing the body and curbing appetite. Magnesium assists in keeping blood vessels and the heart healthy. Traditional Persian medicine treats the cause of each disease, not the symptom. Keep in mind that Peace, Calm, and Oneness are a part of the cure. Arthritis Relief This formula is brought to you by Parsi Herbs where living with highest, fullest and happiest quality, pain free and disease free is our goal. We bring the ancient Persian wisdom/combined with latent scientific research available to serve you and your loved ones. Bringing you back to the highest state of physical, mental, and spiritual health is our goal. In the tradition and understanding of Persian medicine, healthy diet as the greatest physician, philosopher, Scholler of the 8th century, Ibnn Sinna (Avie Cinna) said: "diet starts with breath (naffas), naffas, qi, breath, or chi moves stagnation, removes deficits, creates balance and peaceful environment in our body. Tears: Release stagnation, unhappiness. Laughter: Heals all. Food therapy Proper nutrician gives our body healthy nutrients which in return, pure energy that creates a free electro magnetic field of energy and shuts all doors to sickness Arthritis... There are three forms of arthritis. Osteoarthritis is the most common form of joint disease. It is generally considered to be due to the inability of the cartilage in joints to maintain and repair itself. The results of osteoarthritis are cartilage degradation, erosion of joint lining and eventual loss of mechanical function in the joint, which causes chronic pain. There are many factors that influence its development, including family history and previous damage to the joint through injury or surgery, environmental, psychological, stress, food allergies, and parasites (microorganisms). The research is published in the Journal Arthritis and Rheumatism. In 8th century Parisa Hakeen, Tabbieb Scholler Ibnn Sinna used Ginger, Borage, and Black Pepper in treatment of Arthritis. We have been using these Herbs in our treatment over many years successfully. The initial result of joint injury is the formation of free radicals that attack the cartilage and the lubricating synovial fluid within the joint. This free radical activity can trigger a cascade of autoimmune events to cause chronic loss of cartilage structure and function. Research indicates that deficiency of antioxidants often is a factor in the development of arthritis. In order for osteoarthritis to be treated effectively, the cartilage and synovial fluid in the joint must be protected against further destruction. Glucosamine has been used extensively to treat osteoarthritis. A glucosamine deficiency caused by aging or trauma leads to osteoarthritis. Studies in Europe have shown intake of glucosamine had a major reduction effect in joint pain, joint tenderness and swelling. The 2nd Arthritis is Rheumatoid Arthritis. The 3rd Arthritis is gout. This type is caused by a buildup of uric acid in the body. Uric acid, which is found in meats and other foods, also is produced by the body. Out of balance or inadequate elimination of uric acid is gouty arthritis. When levels of uric acid rises to unhealthy levels in the body, it crystallizes in the joint cartilage and synovial tissue and fluid, causing sharp, needle-like pain in the joints, as well as chills, fever and loss of mobility, constipation, depression, eczema, hives, headaches, and indigestion. Very often those who suffer gout are at risk of a much higher chance of heart attack and kidney problems. In fifty percent of gout cases, the first attack is characterized by intense pain in the first joint of the big toe, followed by chills and fever at night and are caused by a specific event such as excessive alcohol ingestion, drugs, surgery or trauma. These attacks follow usually every 6 months to a year. Ninety five percent of gout sufferers are usually males over the age of 30. Causes of Gout Research has found it can be attributed to metabolic or renal problems. Increased production of uric acid may be the result of enzyme defect, metabolic defect, chronic anemia, kidney disease, or other conditions. "High Living" The traditional concept of gout as an "affluent" condition has some basis in reality since meat, specifically organ meats, increase production of uric acid, while alcohol inhibits uric acid secretion by the kidneys.Change of diet style is very important in treatment of Arthritis. Borage is in GLA, and is effective in treatment of rheumatoid arthritis. Devils Claw, or Grapple Plant has been researched in Europe and found effective in treatment of arthritis and as a diuretic. The main ingredients in Devils Claw are Harpogoside and Beta Sitosterol which possess anti-inflammatory properties and create support for joint, ligament and tendon problems. Devil's Claw is reported to help with joint pain while improving vitality in joints. Turmeric, Curcumin Contains... This superb antioxidant helps joint tissues resist free radicals that contribute to swelling. Indeed, in one laboratory experiment published in molecular and cellular Biochemistry researchers administered Turmeric to a group of rats that had chronic bone/joint damage in their paws, and, after 15 days, the levels of a protein that triggers swelling decreased by 73% in those animals. In a double blind trail, 49 human participants with bone/joint problems were given Turmeric for six weeks. In everyone given Turmeric, researchers observed high positive results, including an increase in walking time and overall physical endurance and a decrease in morning stiffness. Ginger is well known for its medicinal value. Ginger is an effective treatment for arthritis as shown in studies and clinical trials. Rheumatologist Professor Ray Altman, who did the study, believes the highly -concentrated supplement could help to reduce the pain suffered by arthritis sufferers. He tested the supplement on 250 people with osteoarthritis, the most common form of the condition. Each was suffering pain over a six week period. Pau D'Arco Contains... The anti-inflammatory action of this herbs, its observed tendency to reduce the pain, inflammation and other symptoms of arthritis, the abilities this Herb working as anti-viral, works strongly on treatment of Rheumatoid arthritis and gout. Asparagus Contains... Very high in antioxidant dycopen, used as a diuretic is instrumental in treatment of arthritis. FOS Effects on metabolic, endocrine and hematological traits, microbial ecology sustained in a simulation of the human intestinal microbial ecosystem. B Complex Contains... Studies have shown the use of B Vitamin , especially Cobalamin (b-12) supplements is very effective. Hand and joint grips become higher much faster than any other elements taken. We at Parsi Herbs hope this information proves to be both informative ... and useful. Many blessings and the best of health! |
